Paraprofessional Job Overview

• Job Title: Paraprofessional / Teacher Assistant

• Job Type: Full-Time and Part-Time Opportunities

• Start Date: Immediate Openings Available

• Work Setting: K–12 Public and Special Education Classrooms

• Location: Multiple School Sites – Inquire for Current Openings

As a paraprofessional, you’ll play a key role in supporting students with and without disabilities, working under the supervision of certified teachers to help implement lessons, provide one-on-one academic support, and encourage positive behavior.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist lead teachers in delivering classroom instruction

• Provide individual and small group support for students

• Help implement IEPs and behavior intervention plans

• Support classroom management and promote positive behavior

• Assist with student transitions, routines, and daily activities

• Foster an inclusive, respectful, and safe learning environment

Qualifications – What We’re Looking For

Minimum Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to take direction and work as part of a team

• Patience, flexibility, and a passion for working with children

Preferred Experience (Not Required):

• Prior experience as a paraprofessional, tutor, or childcare provider

• Experience supporting students with disabilities or special needs

• Familiarity with classroom routines and educational tools
