Special Education Para Professional in Millbrook, AL

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students and enhancing their educational experience as a Paraprofessional/Facilitator. This position plays a vital role in assisting virtual Speech-Language Pathologists and providing additional classroom support across various sites in the Millbrook area. Youll be helping students prepare for their virtual SLP services, and when not directly engaged, youll offer assistance to classroom teachers, making adaptability and collaboration essential traits for success.

Ideal candidates bring:

• An Associates degree or higher, or successful completion of the WorkKeys test
• Previous experience working in school settings, with an understanding of student needs
• Willingness to undergo and pass comprehensive fingerprinting and background checks
• Flexibility to work across up to four locations and provide support as needs shift throughout the day
• Strong communication skills and the ability to engage positively with students, educators, and virtual SLPs
• A collaborative, solution-oriented approach to supporting diverse learning environments

Key responsibilities include:

• Preparing students for participation in virtual SLP sessions and ensuring a positive, productive session environment
• Assisting classroom teachers when virtual SLP sessions are not taking place, supporting instruction and individualized student attention
• Maintaining a safe, respectful atmosphere, and supporting students unique learning needs
• Collaborating with educational staff and adapting to daily and weekly changes in assignments
