Classroom Assistant | Millbrook, Alabama

Take on a pivotal role supporting virtual Speech-Language Pathologists in educational settings through a contract position running through the end of May 2027. Collaborate closely with both faculty and students at a variety of school locations to help prepare children for virtual speech sessions, while also demonstrating flexibility by assisting classroom teachers as needed.

Key Qualifications:

• Associates degree or higher, OR passing scores on the WorkKeys test, OR substitute certification
• Prior experience working within school environments
• Ability to adapt quickly and support both virtual SLP sessions and general classroom needs
• Must successfully clear fingerprints and background screening

Primary Responsibilities:

• Guide and organize students, preparing them for their virtual SLP appointments at designated campus locations
• Assist in classroom settings when virtual SLP services are not in session
• Foster a supportive and welcoming atmosphere for all students receiving services
• Coordinate effectively with SLPs and classroom teachers to address student needs
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and adaptability in a dynamic school environment
