Special Education Para Professional in Montague, CA

Make a meaningful impact in the Mt. Shasta area supporting students as a Paraprofessional for a contract opportunity near Montague, CA. This position will allow you to work 30 hours per week in a vibrant educational environment that values empathy, patience, and dedication to student growth. Two candidates are needed to work collaboratively within supportive teams in local schools.

Requirements and Preferred Experience:

• Background as a Paraprofessional or in similar educational support roles
• Experience supporting students with a variety of learning needs
• Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, students, and families
• Flexible, positive attitude and a commitment to fostering an inclusive classroom
• Patience and strong problem-solving skills
• High school diploma or equivalent required; related coursework or certifications preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Support classroom teachers by assisting with instructional activities
• Provide one-on-one or small group assistance to students
• Help create a positive, motivating, and safe learning environment
• Prepare learning materials and help with classroom organization
• Supervise students in various settings including hallways, cafeterias, and outdoor spaces
• Assist with implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) when necessary
