Special Education Para Professional in New Castle, DE

Bring your passion for supporting students as a dedicated paraprofessional working throughout multiple school sites. This contract opportunity places you as a floater paraprofessional, delivering essential classroom and behavioral support where its needed most. Assignments will provide diverse experiences across elementary, middle, and high schools as you adapt to a variety of educational settings.

In this full-time, onsite position, workweeks offer a guaranteed 30 hours of pay when school is in session Monday through Fridayregardless of last-minute changes to daily schedules, provided you accept all available shifts. Candidates should expect to engage across various grade levels, supporting students and staff to foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid Delaware Paraeducator Permit in hand (pending not accepted except with appropriate documentation)
• Recent experience working as a paraprofessional in school settings
• Ability to follow student support plans and function efficiently as a team player
• Flexibility to float between different campuses and comfortably adapt to new environments
• Must complete and pass $85 CBC fingerprinting in advance
• If holding an RBT certification, candidate must arrange own BCBA supervision outside school hours

• Provide academic and behavioral support to students as assigned by site leaders
• Assist teachers with instructional and classroom management tasks
