Instructional Assistant - Sacramento, CA

Two ParaEducator roles are available, each offering a chance to play an essential part in classroom success within a vibrant and supportive learning community.

In these contract positions, youll provide hands-on support to engage and empower students. As a classroom aide at an elementary campus supporting a Special Day Class, your responsibilities will include assisting with classroom activities across TK6th grade and providing essential toileting support. The other opening is a 1:1 paraprofessional position, dedicated to assisting an elementary student by adapting support to their unique needs. Both roles are scheduled for full-time hours (30 hours per week) and run through June 2027.

Desired Background and Skills:

• Prior paraprofessional experience, especially working with elementary-aged children
• Comfort supporting students in special education settings or self-contained classrooms
• Willingness to assist with toileting needs as part of daily duties
• Bilingual proficiency is highly valued, especially when working with younger students
• Candidates must already be onboarded and available for a prompt start

Key Responsibilities:

• Foster a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Offer individualized assistance to both student groups and one-on-one assignments
• Engage with classroom and school staff to support lesson implementation
• Assist with behavioral, academic, and emotional needs as directed by supervising teachers
• Provide personal care assistance with compassion and respect
