Classroom Assistant | San Francisco, California

Make a positive impact in school communities near San Francisco by supporting students as a Paraprofessional or Instructional Aid. Multiple full-time positions are available in vibrant elementary school environments, focusing on either Transitional Kindergarten/Kindergarten or 1st5th grade age groups. Youll collaborate closely with classroom teachers to foster positive learning experiences and provide essential classroom and personal care support for students.

This contract opportunity runs through June 2027 and offers consistent weekday shifts. Select from two start times to help cover before and after-school needs. Qualifications & Experience:

• Experience as a paraprofessional, instructional aid, or working with children in school settings preferred
• Willingness and comfort supporting children with activities of daily living, including toileting and diapering
• Able to complete required paraprofessional training (provided)
• Strong communication, flexibility, and a collaborative approach to working with teachers and students
• Reliable transportation; please be aware of tolls for bridge crossings into the area

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Assist classroom teachers with instruction, supervision, and daily classroom routines
• Support students learning and independence across academic and personal care tasks
• Contribute to a positive, inclusive classroom environment
• Provide attentive, respectful assistance with hygiene and toileting needs
• Encourage student participation and engagement
• Adapt to the needs of different classrooms and grade levels as required
