Bilingual Paraprofessional - 1:1 - Springfield, MA - Weekly Pay!

Position Overview

We are urgently seeking a female Paraprofessional for a specialized 1:1 support role for the remainder of the school year. This position focuses on working directly with a female student on the Autism Spectrum within the Communication Development Program. The candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the student’s daily success, both academically and socially, while also providing support with personal care needs.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, 1:1 support to a female student with Autism, helping her navigate her daily school routine.
• Assist with personal care tasks, including toileting, ensuring comfort, hygiene, and dignity.
• Support the student's educational goals by implementing strategies outlined in her Individualized Education Program (IEP).
• Facilitate communication development through structured activities, prompts, and reinforcements.
• Encourage social interaction and positive behavior, using de-escalation techniques when necessary.
• Document daily progress, behaviors, and any incidents to report back to the teacher and support team.
• Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and other school staff to adapt learning activities and strategies as needed.

Qualifications

• Female candidates only (required due to assisting a female student with toileting).
• Previous experience working with students on the Autism Spectrum is highly preferred.
• Comfortable providing personal care support, including toileting assistance.
• Strong communication skills, patience, and the ability to build a positive rapport with students.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative school environment.
