Paraprofessional | Elementary & Middle School

Blazer Jobs is now hiring a dedicated Paraprofessional for a full-time, onsite position with Winnetka Public Schools for the upcoming school year. This role spans elementary and middle school campuses including Greeley Elementary and Skokie School (Middle School), located in North Chicago. Role Overview:

As a paraprofessional, you will support teachers and students by providing classroom assistance, contributing to individualized student support, and promoting a positive learning environment. You may also be assigned 1:1 responsibilities with students who require additional attention. Candidates should be enthusiastic, adaptable, and passionate about helping students succeed academically and personally.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist teachers with daily instruction and classroom management

• Provide 1:1 or small group academic support to students

• Help implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavioral strategies

• Support students during instructional and non-instructional activities

• Assist with toileting needs, as necessary

• Foster a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students

Requirements:

• Must have an active Illinois Paraprofessional License (Para Certification)

• Experience in an educational setting strongly preferred

• Preference for candidates with toileting support experience

• Ability to work with both elementary and middle school students in a dynamic classroom setting

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

Candidates who do not meet requirements will not be considered.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Monday – Friday | 35 hours/week

• Includes 30-minute unpaid lunch and two unpaid 15-minute breaks

• Pay range: $21–$25/hour, based on experience

• Contract renewal based on performance and district needs
