Para Professional in Winnetka, IL

This full-time position is set for the 2026-2027 school year, spanning Monday through Friday at 35 hours per week. You'll play a vital role in a dynamic school environment, focusing on both classroom assistance and the individual needs of a student with diabetes.

What You'll Do:

• Support teachers with classroom management and instructional activities.
• Work one-on-one with a student, providing attentive care and encouragement.
• Assist with various classroom tasks and daily student routines.
• Participate in toileting assistance as needed, ensuring dignity and safety for students.
• Foster a positive and productive environment for elementary-aged children, including those with challenging behaviors.

What We'd Like to See:

• Current Illinois paraprofessional certification (required).
• Experience working with elementary-aged students who may exhibit challenging behaviors.
• Prior exposure to or willingness to assist with toileting routines.
• Flexibility, patience, and a team-oriented attitude.
