Physical Therapist - School Setting in Aurora, IL

Travel Physical Therapists are needed to support students across multiple educational programs. This in-person position offers the chance to work with a diverse caseload of 35-45 students in both self-contained and general education programs, ranging from elementary to transition ages. Full-time candidates are preferred, but part-time applicants will also be considered. Flexibility is essential as the role requires travel between several schools throughout the week, all located within the district.

Assignments begin as soon as possible and extend through the end of the academic year, with a Monday through Friday schedule and varying start times based on school site (between 7:30 and 8:30 am).

Key Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited PT program (MPT or DPT required)
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred
• Ability to travel between multiple school sites
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Responsibilities:

• Complete physical therapy evaluations and develop tailored treatment plans
• Deliver PT services to students, adjusting techniques to meet diverse needs across various programs
• Train and support the use of positioning and mobility equipment
• Collaborate closely with educators, paraprofessionals, therapists, and nurses to support student progress
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and updated goals
