School Physical Therapist | Bristol, Connecticut

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity as a school-based physical therapist, supporting students throughout their K-12 academic journey for the 2026-2027 school year. This full-time position runs from ASAP through June 2027, offering between 32 to 37.5 hours per week. Youll work in-person, engaging with a diverse caseload across multiple grade levels to deliver critical physical therapy services and help students achieve their full potential.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Valid and current Physical Therapist (PT) license
• Experience working with K-12 populations in educational or pediatric settings
• Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with educators, families, and support staff
• Passion for fostering student independence and success in an inclusive school environment
• Ability to adapt and individualize therapeutic plans based on student needs

Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and evaluations to determine student needs and develop individualized treatment plans
• Provide direct therapy services to students as indicated on their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Partner with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student goals and classroom integration
• Maintain accurate documentation, progress reports, and required compliance records
• Serve as a resource for staff and families, offering guidance on mobility, equipment, and classroom adaptations
• Periodically reevaluate students and adjust therapy approaches in response to their development

This contract assignment is districtwide, offering a chance to make a meaningful difference in multiple school communities. The role requires presence on campus, so candidates must be available for in-person work throughout the school year.
