Physical Therapist - School Setting in Clermont, FL

Step into a rewarding contract role supporting students physical development in an educational setting near Clermont, FL. As a Physical Therapist, youll play an integral part in enhancing school experiences for K-12 (including some Pre-K) students through both direct and indirect services. The district is actively interviewing as of 9/16 and is seeking either one full-time therapist or a team of 2-3 part-time professionals. Youll join an experienced group, collaborating with another PT and PTA to serve a manageable daily caseload.

Qualifications & Preferred Experience:

• Active Florida Physical Therapist license required
• Experience working in school-based settings is highly preferred, but dedicated clinicians from other backgrounds are encouraged to apply
• Flexibility to work full-time (40 hours/week: 7:30 am4:00 pm, MondayFriday) or part-time as needed
• Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, families, and educational staff
• Comfortable traveling between a maximum of 35 schools (servicing 23 per day; caseload divided among staff)
• Background in pediatric care or special education is advantageous

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide high-quality physical therapy services to students (K-12 and some Pre-K), fostering mobility and independence
• Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
• Work closely with educators, families, and other therapists to support IEP goals
• Maintain accurate documentation and participate in pertinent school meetings
• Ensure compliance with all district credentialing and onboarding requirements
