Blazer Jobs is currently interviewing experienced Physical Therapists (PTs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Covington, Georgia area. This position offers a rewarding opportunity for professionals dedicated to improving students’ physical health, mobility, and educational success.

Position Overview:

• Location: Covington, GA and surrounding school districts

• Type: Full-Time, Contract

• Start Date: Immediate

• Renewal: Based on performance and district needs

Required Qualifications:
Applicants must meet Georgia state and local district requirements, including:

• Active Georgia Physical Therapist License (issued by the Georgia State Board of Physical Therapy)

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution (Bachelor’s, Master’s, or Doctorate)

• Eligibility for or possession of an Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Certificate from the Georgia Professional Standards Commission (GaPSC)

• Prior experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy preferred

• Current CPR certification

• Ability to pass required background checks and fingerprinting

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct assessments and create individualized physical therapy plans aligned with student IEPs

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students with physical disabilities

• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary

• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and IEP teams to ensure successful outcomes for students

• Participate in IEP meetings, offering recommendations for physical therapy goals

• Educate school staff on mobility aids and positioning strategies to support students
