We have an opening School Physical Therapist position in our school district and are currently in the process of conducting interviews. Please find the details below:
Location: Danbury, CT
- Pay: $40-$50+ an hour (experience will factor)
- 32 hours per week
- Monday – Friday
- Duration: August 26, 2025 – June 19, 2026
- Elementary School
- Evaluate students' strength, balance, coordination, posture, mobility, and motor planning.
- Identify barriers that impact a student's ability to move safely and effectively in school (e.g., walking through hallways, climbing stairs, navigating playgrounds).
- Develop individualized plans to improve:
- Walking and gait patterns
- Balance and coordination
- Postural control and core strength
- Transitions (e.g., moving from sitting to standing, getting on/off the floor)
- Use of mobility aids (e.g., walkers, wheelchairs)
