Physical Therapist - School Setting in Dorchester, MA

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity supporting preschool and elementary students in a school-based physical therapy setting. This full-time position, offering 30 hours per week, begins immediately and is expected to run through June 15, 2027, with a strong likelihood of extension should a permanent placement not be made internally. The role is dedicated to providing quality care and therapy on-site, working directly with students to foster their mobility, strength, and participation within the school environment.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

• Valid and active Physical Therapist license/certification in Massachusetts
• Demonstrated experience in school-based physical therapy required
• Priority given to credentialed candidates
• Must be able to start promptly
• Able to work with preschool and some elementary-aged students
• CORI background check and fingerprint clearance required before onboarding

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct therapy services to preschool and elementary students as specified in their individualized education programs (IEPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student needs and promote functional independence
• Conduct assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and provide clear reports on student progress
• Contribute to the multidisciplinary teams efforts to create inclusive, supportive learning environments
• Participate in IEP meetings and assist with the development of student goals where needed
