Position Details:

Requirements:

• Must hold a valid Physical Therapist license in the state of North Carolina

• Must meet all state and local guidelines for school-based physical therapy services

• Strongly preferred: Experience working with special education students and collaborating with families

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Must be able to pass required background checks

Typical Responsibilities Include:

• Conduct evaluations to assess student motor function, mobility, and physical needs

• Develop individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals

• Deliver direct physical therapy services to students in accordance with established plans

• Monitor progress and maintain detailed documentation of sessions and outcomes

• Collaborate with IEP teams, educators, and parents to support student success

• Provide recommendations for adaptive equipment and classroom modifications

• Educate staff and caregivers on therapeutic strategies and mobility support techniques
