School-Based Physical Therapist - Garland, TX

Step into an impactful, school-based role delivering vital physical therapy services to students from kindergarten through 12th grade. This contract position spans from November to February, covering a maternity leave, and offers the opportunity to work full-time at 37.5 hours per week. As an itinerant Physical Therapist, youll travel between multiple campuses within the district, collaborating with educators and building rapport with students across various age groups.

What Were Looking For:

• A current, active TX Physical Therapist license
• Prior school-based experience in a K-12 setting is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills to manage a diverse, itinerant caseload
• Ability to adapt therapeutic interventions across elementary, middle, and high school populations
• Exceptional communication skills for collaborating with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy services to students in grades K-12, supporting mobility, access, and participation in school activities
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in alignment with IEP goals
• Travel to multiple school sites within the district to serve assigned caseload
• Maintain thorough documentation, progress notes, and compliance with district and state guidelines
• Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other related service providers
• Contribute insights and strategies during IEP meetings
• Ensure district fingerprint clearances and timely credentialing compliance
