School-Based Physical Therapist - Joliet, IL

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing essential physical therapy services to students across several schools in the Joliet, IL area. In this in-person role, you'll have the flexibility to work full-time (preferred) or part-time, with multiple positions available. This assignment runs through 6/7/2027, making it an excellent option for professionals seeking a dynamic, long-term travel experience in school-based settings.

You'll collaborate with engaging educational teams while traveling between elementary and transition programs. Your expertise will directly impact students physical independence and participation, working with a caseload of approximately 35-45 students who benefit from both direct intervention and consultative PT services.

What Were Looking For:

• Current MPT or DPT degree
• Active Illinois Physical Therapy License
• Experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
• Strong skills in evaluation, treatment planning, and implementation
• Ability to travel between multiple locations during the school day
• Effective communicator, adept at working with teachers, paraprofessionals, nurses, and therapists

What Youll Be Doing:

• Conducting physical therapy evaluations for students in self-contained and general education programs
• Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
• Training staff and students in the use of positioning and mobility equipment
• Preparing comprehensive documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, goals, and updates
• Collaborating regularly with multidisciplinary teams to support student success

Schedules follow standard school week hours (MondayFriday), with start times flexibly assigned between 7:30 and 8:30am according to school sites in Romeoville and Bolingbrook.
