In this position, you'll collaborate closely with school staff and students to support physical development and foster participation in school activities. You'll serve a diverse caseload across kindergarten through 12th grade, applying your skills to help students reach their full potential.

Desired Background & Qualifications:

  • Active Physical Therapist license in Maryland
  • Previous experience supporting K-12 students in a school setting preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, families, and school teams
  • Ability to manage time efficiently and travel between school sites as needed

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement individualized interventions for students
  • Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and other therapists to integrate therapy goals within classroom activities
  • Monitor and document student progress, adjusting interventions as necessary
  • Participate in IEP meetings, offering expertise to help shape students' educational plans
  • Educate staff and families on strategies to promote students independence and mobility within the school environment
