This contract opportunity, starting as soon as possible through late May 2027, offers three weekdays of focused service each week within a supportive educational setting. The specific school site will be determined upon placement, allowing for a tailored fit to both your expertise and district needs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current and active Physical Therapy License issued by the state of Maryland (MD PT License required)
  • Previous experience in pediatric or school-based physical therapy strongly preferred
  • Solid understanding of IEP processes and the ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary educational teams
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills to support children, families, and staff across a diverse student population
  • Commitment to fostering student growth, mobility, and overall well-being in an academic setting

Role Responsibilities:

  • Deliver physical therapy assessments, consultations, and direct interventions for students K-12 as outlined in Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Develop, implement, and document therapeutic treatment plans and progress notes
  • Partner closely with teachers, administrators, and family members to support student participation and success in the school environment
  • Offer training and resources for school staff to ensure appropriate support for students with mobility or physical needs
  • Maintain compliance with relevant guidelines and documentation requirements
