Step into a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact in school settings as a contract Physical Therapist working with students from elementary through transition programs. Serve multiple schools in the Romeoville and Bolingbrook areas, supporting learners mobility and participation in both self-contained and general education classes. Full-time is ideal, but part-time candidates will also be considered. Travel professionals are welcome, as this role requires providing in-person services at several school sites.

Responsibilities include:

  • Traveling between assigned schools to provide hands-on physical therapy services
  • Conducting student evaluations and developing effective, individualized treatment plans
  • Delivering and documenting direct and consultative physical therapy as outlined on student IEPs
  • Training students and staff on the use of positioning and mobility equipment
  • Collaborating closely with educators, paraprofessionals, school nurses, and other related service providers
  • Authoring daily therapy notes, progress reports, and maintaining goal data and updates
  • Adjusting service delivery and approaches to maximize student independence in their learning environments

Qualifications:

  • MPT or DPT degree from an accredited program
  • Currently licensed or eligible for licensure as a Physical Therapist in Illinois
  • Comfort working across a caseload of 35-45 students with a combination of direct and consult PT minutes
  • Ability to thrive in a team of dedicated professionals in dynamic school settings
  • Strong communication and documentation skills
  • Reliable transportation for travel between sites
