Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) for a full-time role with school districts in the Birmingham, Alabama area. This opportunity is for the 2025–2026 school year.

Position Overview:

• Location: Birmingham, AL

• Contract Dates: August 4, 2025 – June 9, 2026

• School Year: 2025–2026

Qualifications – Applicants Must Meet the Following Requirements:

• Associate degree from a CAPTE-accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program

• Valid Alabama Physical Therapist Assistant License issued by the Alabama Board of Physical Therapy

• Pediatric or school-based experience preferred

• Ability to travel between sites, if required by the district

• Compliance with all state and local background checks and fingerprinting procedures

Typical Responsibilities Include:

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in delivering treatment plans for students with physical challenges

• Provide therapeutic interventions to help students improve mobility, posture, coordination, and motor function

• Document and report student progress to the supervising PT and educational teams

• Work collaboratively with educators, families, and school staff to support student success

• Maintain accurate treatment records in accordance with district policies and procedures

• Support the implementation of adaptive physical education plans as needed
