Physical Therapist Assistant in Chicopee, MA

Qualifications and Experience:

• Active Physical Therapist Assistant licensure in Massachusetts
• Experience working in school-based or pediatric settings preferred
• Ability to collaborate effectively with classroom staff, educators, and related service providers
• Strong communication and documentation skills

Responsibilities:

• Deliver physical therapy interventions outlined in students Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
• Support gross motor skill development and safe participation in school activities
• Maintain accurate and timely session documentation per school and legal standards
• Consult regularly with supervising PT, special education teams, and families
• Adapt interventions to serve a diverse student population ranging from mild to moderate needs
• Attend team meetings, provide updates on student progress, and adjust therapy plans as necessary

Assignment Details:

• Contract spans from ASAP through June 21, 2027
• Work 6 hours per week, allowing flexibility and work-life balance
• Manage a consistent caseload within a supportive educational environment
