Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) for a full-time opportunity with school districts in the Yuma, AZ area. This is a rewarding school-based role for professionals who are passionate about supporting students' physical development and mobility in educational environments.
Position Requirements:
Applicants must meet all Arizona state and local requirements, including:
Active Arizona PTA License issued by the Arizona Board of Physical Therapy
Associate’s degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program
Supervision by a licensed Physical Therapist as required by state law
Current CPR certification
Authorization to work in the U.S.
Ability to pass a background check and fingerprint clearance through the Arizona Department of Public Safety
School-based experience preferred
Typical Responsibilities:
Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising Physical Therapist
Provide physical therapy support to students with developmental, orthopedic, or neurological conditions
Assist students in developing strength, coordination, balance, and functional mobility
Maintain accurate records and progress notes
Collaborate with school staff, families, and special education teams
Participate in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning when appropriate
