As a BST, you'll work one-on-one or in small group settings with students requiring behavioral support. Under the guidance of certified staff or behavior analysts, you’ll help implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs), monitor and document student progress, assist in crisis de-escalation when needed, and provide positive reinforcement to encourage growth. Your efforts will help students build coping skills, maintain classroom readiness, and stay engaged in learning.
To be eligible for this role in Louisiana, candidates must meet the following:
High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred)
Experience working with children or students with behavioral challenges
Familiarity with behavior intervention strategies and documentation
Completion of any required district-level background checks and fingerprinting
