Job Title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team and provide direct behavioral therapy services to students within the school setting. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement individualized behavior intervention plans (BIPs), support students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other developmental disabilities, and assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Implement behavior intervention plans developed by a BCBA.
- Provide 1:1 or small group Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) therapy to students.
- Collect and record data on student behaviors and skill acquisition.
- Assist teachers and staff with behavior strategies and classroom management techniques.
- Support students in classrooms, special education settings, or in general education with inclusion support.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with district and state guidelines.
- Communicate regularly with BCBAs, teachers, and parents/guardians as needed.
- Participate in team meetings, professional development, and supervision sessions.
Qualifications:
- Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- Current and active RBT certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)
- Background check and fingerprint clearance (as required by Florida DOE and school districts)
- Preferred:
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in psychology, education, or a related field
- Previous experience working in a school setting or with children with special needs
- Familiarity with IEP goals, ABA principles, and behavior data collection tools

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine interest in working with children
- Ability to follow behavior plans and BCBA direction with fidelity
- Ability to remain calm and professional in challenging situations
- Capable of standing, walking, bending, and lifting as needed to assist students
