Registered Behavior Technician - Lowell, MA

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing vital behavioral support to elementary students in a welcoming school environment. With three immediate openings, this position suits both Registered Behavior Technicians (RBT) and paraprofessionals who bring school-based experience and compassion to students with emotional impairments and/or autism.

Positions are available for both full-time (31 hours/week) and part-time (19 hours/week), following school hours of 8:30 am to 3:30 pm (including a 30-minute unpaid lunch). The assignment extends through June 17, 2027, offering stability for dedicated professionals.

In this onsite role, you will:

• Deliver behavioral support individually, in small groups, and within classrooms.
• Guide students in and out of inclusion settings who may need assistance with challenging behaviors.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to develop positive interventions and monitor student progress.
• Employ strategies from your behavioral support or safety care training.
• Utilize your RBT skills, if licensed, to implement data-driven interventions.
• Work in dynamic elementary settings across multiple school sites, fostering growth and independence in students.

Desired qualifications and experience:

• RBT licensure (required for RBT candidates); active and in good standing.
• High School Diploma (minimum for paraprofessional applicants).
• Prior experience in a school setting, preferably with students exhibiting behavioral challenges.
• Completion of behavioral training and Safety Care certification; RBT training highly valued.
• Ability to work onsite and commit through to June 2027.
• Successful completion of CORI and fingerprinting background checks is mandatory.
• Please note: BCBA supervision is not provided by the district.
