Blazer Jobs is actively interviewing experienced Dyslexia Interventionalists for roles with school districts in the Houston, TX area. This vital position focuses on delivering targeted, evidence-based interventions to students with dyslexia and related reading difficulties, helping to improve literacy skills and academic outcomes. Renewals for the next school year are based on performance and district needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct, individualized dyslexia intervention and support to students

  • Administer assessments to identify students’ literacy strengths and areas for growth

  • Develop and implement evidence-based instructional plans tailored to students’ needs

  • Monitor student progress and adjust interventions accordingly

  • Collaborate with classroom teachers, specialists, and families to support student success

  • Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and intervention strategies

  • Stay current with research and best practices in dyslexia instruction and intervention

Requirements:

  • Must meet all Texas Education Agency (TEA) and local district certification and licensure requirements for Dyslexia Interventionalists, including:

    • Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements or certification in dyslexia intervention

    • Completion of required dyslexia-specific training and coursework as outlined by state law

    • Successful completion of background checks and fingerprinting

  • Experience delivering dyslexia interventions in school settings preferred

  • Strong knowledge of evidence-based dyslexia instructional methods

  • Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
