? Role Summary

As a School Nurse (LPN), you'll serve as the front line of health services in a K–12 school environment. From administering daily medications to supporting emergency care and chronic condition management, your expertise ensures students remain healthy and focused on learning.

? Key Responsibilities

• Deliver first aid and manage on-site health concerns

• Administer medications and maintain dosage schedules

• Monitor students with chronic conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, seizures)

• Create and implement Individual Health Plans (IHPs) with parents and healthcare providers

• Maintain accurate, confidential health records

• Promote public health practices, hygiene, and disease prevention

• Support school health initiatives, screenings, and emergency drills

? Qualifications

Required:

• Active LPN license in the state of Illinois

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Graduation from an accredited practical nursing program

• Excellent interpersonal and record-keeping skills

• Ability to work independently within a school environment

Preferred:

• Prior experience in pediatric nursing, school health, or community/public health

• Familiarity with IEPs, 504 Plans, and IHPs
