Registered Nurse School Setting in Blue Springs, MO

This role is located in a dedicated special education building, and is best suited for a nurse with strong clinical skills, empathy, and a team-oriented approach.

What Were Looking For:

• Active RN license
• Experience or interest in working in a school-based or pediatric environment
• Ability to perform multiple G-tube feedings
• Comfortable with frequent lifting (including use of Hoyer lifts) and personal care such as diapering
• Proficient in medication administration and seizure management
• Exhibits professionalism and strong communication skills when working with staff, students, and families
• Dedication to supporting students with severe disabilities, including autism and complex medical needs
• Commitment to managing challenging daily routines with patience and reliability
• Works collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide daily skilled nursing services, including feeding, medication administration, and seizure management
• Assist with lifting, transfers, and personal care for medically fragile students
• Document care and communicate effectively with staff and healthcare providers
• Foster a supportive and inclusive environment for students with varying abilities
• Collaborate with educators, therapists, and administration to meet student care plans
