Key Qualifications:

• Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Experience in school nursing is preferred, though enthusiastic clinical RNs are encouraged to apply
• Ability to clearly articulate interest in school nursing, especially for candidates transitioning from clinical roles
• Willingness to work with a diverse K-8 student body, adapting to their unique needs
• Confirmation of comfortable commute to the Waukegan campus is essential
• Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide routine and emergency care for K-8 students and staff
• Administer medications, first aid, and manage chronic health conditions
• Maintain detailed and confidential student health records in compliance with regulations
• Collaborate with educators, families, and community resources to support holistic student wellness
• Develop and implement individualized health plans for students as needed
• Support health education initiatives throughout the school
