As a School Nurse (LPN), you will be responsible for delivering comprehensive healthcare services to students, including administering medications, managing chronic health conditions, providing first aid, and promoting health education. Your role is vital in ensuring students' well-being, enabling them to focus on their education.
Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Monitor and manage chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, allergies)
Develop and maintain Individual Health Plans (IHPs) in collaboration with families and healthcare providers
Keep accurate and up-to-date student health records in compliance with school policies
Educate students and staff on health, safety, and wellness practices
Assist in emergency preparedness planning and conduct safety drills
Required:
Active LPN license in the state of Georgia
Current CPR and BLS certification
Graduate of an accredited practical nursing program
Strong communication and organizational skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred:
Experience in pediatric care, school nursing, or public health
Familiarity with IEPs, IHPs, and student accommodation plans
