? Job Summary

As a School LPN, you will provide essential school nursing services to students and staff during the academic day. This includes managing chronic health conditions, administering medication, delivering first aid, and promoting a healthy school environment in accordance with school district policies and state regulations.

? Key Responsibilities

• Provide daily nursing care, health assessments, and first aid

• Administer prescribed medications and monitor student responses

• Support students with chronic conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and epilepsy

• Develop and manage Individual Health Plans (IHPs)

• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records

• Educate students and staff on illness prevention and hygiene practices

• Respond to emergencies and participate in school safety protocols

? Qualifications

Required:

• Active and valid LPN license (State-specific as required)

• CPR/BLS certification (current)

• Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing program

• Strong communication, organization, and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a school team

Preferred:

• Experience in pediatrics, school nursing, or community health

• Familiarity with 504 Plans, IEPs, and IHPs

• Previous experience working in a school-based healthcare setting
