Registered Nurse (RN) for Schools needed!

Now Hiring: Full-Time School Registered Nurse (RN)

Location: Fort Worth, TX | School-Based | Full-Time Contract Position

Blazer Jobs, in collaboration with school districts in the Fort Worth, Texas area, is seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for a full-time, school-based contract role. This position plays a critical part in promoting the health, safety, and well-being of students within the educational environment.

Position Requirements:

To be considered for this role, candidates must meet all Texas state and local regulations, including:

• An active, unrestricted Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license

• Current CPR/First Aid certification

• Completion of required background checks and fingerprinting as outlined by the Texas Education Agency (TEA)

• Experience working with special education populations or in a school/pediatric setting is highly preferred

• Strong communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Administer routine and emergency medical care to students and staff

• Provide health services for students with chronic conditions (e.g., diabetes, asthma, epilepsy)

• Dispense and document medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians

• Maintain accurate and confidential health records in compliance with school district policies

• Support development and implementation of Individualized Health Plans (IHPs) and participate in IEP meetings when applicable

• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and disease prevention

• Respond promptly to medical emergencies and coordinate appropriate care

• Communicate regularly with parents, healthcare providers, and school staff

• May provide services across multiple school sites within the district, if needed
