School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Gretna, Louisiana

As the on-site nurse, youll provide direct care for students, including those with complex medical needs such as tracheostomies, g-tubes, and diabetes management. Youll also train non-medical personnel, contribute to IEPs, and ensure meticulous record keeping and compliance with all health guidelines.

Desired Qualifications:

• Valid RN license (BSN preferred; ASN accepted)
• Prior experience as a school nurse requiredplease highlight related settings
• Solid background managing trachs, g-tubes, diabetes, and conducting health screenings
• Skilled in training others, including non-medical staff
• Excellent communication, delegation, and interpersonal abilities
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Sheets

• Commitment to flexibility in school placement
• Must complete district-specific drug screening and fingerprinting
