School Registered Nurse (RN) in Hammond, IN

With a start date in December or January, you'll enjoy consistent weekday hoursMonday through Friday from 7:35 am to 3:20 pmwhile making a difference for approximately 100 students.

In this setting, your expertise as a Registered Nurse will be essential to ensuring the well-being and safety of children throughout the school day. Youll be a valued partner to staff, students, and families, providing both routine and emergency care.

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in Indiana
• Previous school nursing experience (preferred)
• CPR certification
• Strong communication and organizational abilities
• Compassionate, confident approach to pediatric populations
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educational staff

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily health concerns, medication administration, and first aid
• Respond promptly to student injuries and acute illnesses
• Maintain thorough health records in accordance with policies
• Collaborate with teams on student health plans, accommodations, and emergency protocols
• Participate in IEP/504 meetings as needed and provide education to staff and students on relevant health topics
• Communicate with parents, outside providers, and community resources for holistic student support
