School Registered Nurse | Harvey, Louisiana

Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Registered Nurse working full-time within a dynamic school environment near Harvey, LA. This assignment runs ASAP through May 22, 2026, with a schedule of 35 hours weekly (MondayFriday, 7 hours per day, following the school calendar). You will serve as the dedicated school nurse for one or two campuses, ensuring students receive the highest standard of medical care.

Key Qualifications:

• ASN required, BSN preferred
• Valid RN license
• Prior school nurse experience is essential
• Proficient with trachs and g-tubes, diabetes management, IEP documentation, conducting health screenings, and training non-medical staff
• Excellent record keeping and communication skills
• Strong technology skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Sheets
• Comfortable working where needed within the district (willingness to be placed on either East Bank or West Bank)
• Passion for working with school-aged children and collaborating with educational teams

Essential Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing care and manage daily health needs for assigned students
• Maintain accurate health records and administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Contribute to IEP processes and individual health plans
• Educate and train staff on basic medical procedures and emergency protocols
• Proactively communicate with faculty, parents, and administration to support student health
• Participate in screenings and health assessments as required
