? Position at a Glance

• Location: Kansas City, KS

• Schedule: Full-Time | School-Year Only (Off for summers, holidays, and breaks)

• Start Date: Immediate need

• Setting: K–12 school environment

? Your Role on Campus

You’ll be the front line of student health—both in urgent care and in long-term planning. Responsibilities include:

• Assessing and treating student health issues during the school day

• Managing chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, and seizure disorders

• Administering medications and documenting all care accurately

• Maintaining state-compliant, confidential health records

• Collaborating on Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), 504 accommodations, and IEPs

• Providing health education to students and staff

• Supporting the school in emergency response planning and drills

? Required Credentials

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas

• CPR and First Aid certification

• Excellent communication skills across all age groups

• Ability to work independently in a school setting

• Strong organizational skills and ethical standards for student privacy

? Preferred Experience

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

• Previous experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing

• Comfort with IEP/504 coordination and health accommodation planning

• Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued
