Schedule: Full-Time | School-Year Only (Off for summers, holidays, and breaks)
Start Date: Immediate need
Setting: K–12 school environment
You’ll be the front line of student health—both in urgent care and in long-term planning. Responsibilities include:
Assessing and treating student health issues during the school day
Managing chronic conditions like asthma, diabetes, and seizure disorders
Administering medications and documenting all care accurately
Maintaining state-compliant, confidential health records
Collaborating on Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs), 504 accommodations, and IEPs
Providing health education to students and staff
Supporting the school in emergency response planning and drills
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Kansas
CPR and First Aid certification
Excellent communication skills across all age groups
Ability to work independently in a school setting
Strong organizational skills and ethical standards for student privacy
Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Previous experience in pediatric, public health, or school nursing
Comfort with IEP/504 coordination and health accommodation planning
Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly valued
