Job Details: Registered Nurse (School Nurse Role)

• Position Type: Full-Time

• Schedule: Monday–Friday | No nights, weekends, or holidays

• Start Date: August 2025

• Work Setting: K–12 school environment (elementary, middle, and high school students)

• Contract Term: Entire 2025–2026 academic year

Primary Responsibilities

As a School Registered Nurse (RN), you will ensure the health, safety, and wellness of all students. Responsibilities include:

• Providing first aid and triage for injuries and acute illnesses

• Administering prescribed medications and managing treatment plans

• Supporting students with chronic health conditions (e.g., asthma, diabetes, epilepsy)

• Maintaining confidential, accurate, and compliant health records (FERPA & HIPAA)

• Contributing to IEPs, 504 Plans, and Individual Health Plans (IHPs)

• Conducting health education sessions on hygiene, illness prevention, and safety

• Participating in emergency preparedness and school-wide health initiatives

Minimum Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing

• CPR and First Aid certification

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills

• Ability to remain composed in a fast-paced educational environment

• Knowledge of student privacy laws, including FERPA and HIPAA

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher

• Experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or community health

• Familiarity with special education processes and student health accommodations

• Bilingual (Spanish preferred) for improved communication with diverse student populations
