? Job Overview

As an LPN in a school setting, you’ll work directly with students to manage daily health needs, provide emergency care, and support chronic condition management. You'll be a trusted medical professional in the building, helping create a safe and healthy learning environment for all.

? Key Responsibilities

• Provide first aid and urgent care to students and staff during the school day

• Administer prescribed medications and perform medical treatments per care plans

• Monitor students with chronic conditions like diabetes, asthma, and seizures

• Maintain accurate health records and documentation in accordance with state and district guidelines

• Collaborate with families, teachers, and other staff to develop Individual Health Plans (IHPs)

• Promote healthy habits and educate on wellness and hygiene practices

• Participate in emergency drills, safety planning, and health-related school activities

? Qualifications

Required:

• Valid LPN license in Georgia

• Current CPR/BLS certification

• Completion of an accredited LPN program

• Ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and parents

• Organized and self-directed with attention to detail

Preferred:

• Previous experience in pediatrics, public health, or school nursing

• Understanding of IEP/IHP documentation and special needs coordination
