Key Qualifications and Desired Background:

• Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required
• Current state RN license; PEL endorsement for Certified School Nurse highly preferred
• Willingness to obtain Short-Term Approval for School Nurse this year and pursue full PEL with School Nurse Endorsement (through programs such as ISU, UIC, or Lewis University) within the next 1-2 years
• Prior CSN experience and/or bilingual Spanish-speaking skills are highly valued
• Proficient with technology, particularly in maintaining electronic health records and managing IEP/504 documentation
• Flexible, dependable, collaborative, and strong team player with excellent reliability and attendance

Position Responsibilities:

• Manage the school health office and oversee daily health needs of students
• Complete and maintain accurate medical reviews and documentation
• Participate actively in the IEP and 504 plan processes
• Support students' health and personal care needs during the school dayincluding occasional assistance with restroom needs
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary and supportive staff
• Demonstrate strong communication and adaptability within a fast-paced, multi-needs school environment
