Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver direct care including illness assessment, injury response, and administering medication per physician orders
• Maintain accurate health records for all students in compliance with regulatory guidelines
• Serve as an expert resource for student health topics and coordinate with educators on medical 504 plans and individual health plans
• Promote a healthy school environment through preventative health education and infection control measures
• Act swiftly in crisis or emergency medical situations
• Communicate compassionately with students, teachers, and parents in all health-related matters

Ideal Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Virginia
• Previous experience in school nursing, pediatric care, or a related medical field preferred
• Strong assessment and critical thinking abilities
