Key Responsibilities

? Health Assessments

• Conduct routine health screenings, physical exams, and emergency evaluations

?? First Aid & Emergency Care

• Provide first aid and respond to injuries and illnesses during school hours

? Medication Administration

• Manage and administer medications/treatments for students with chronic health conditions

? Care Plan Development

• Create and maintain care plans for students with chronic illnesses (e.g., asthma, diabetes)

? Health Education

• Educate students, families, and staff on general health and managing medical conditions

?? Record Keeping

• Maintain accurate and confidential health records, including immunizations and medical history

? Emergency Preparedness

• Develop protocols and participate in drills for medical emergencies and health outbreaks

? Collaboration

• Partner with school staff and parents to support student health and wellness

Requirements

• Active RN License in the state of Arizona

• Prior school nursing experience preferred, but not required
