Registered Nurse School Setting - Pittsford, NY

A per diem opening is available for a Registered Nurse to supervise and mentor high school students enrolled in a Nurse Assisting (Nurse Aide) course. This rewarding role offers flexible, contract hoursperfect for RNs interested in sharing their expertise without committing to a full-time schedule. Shifts are during the morning (8-10 am) and midday (12-2 pm). The position starts as soon as possible, with end date to be determined.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee students' clinical learning in an 8:1 setting, ensuring a safe and educational environment
• Develop and adapt valid clinical experiences and instructional schedules for Nurse Assisting students
• Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to create cohesive, integrated learning
• Act as the primary supervisor during students on-the-job training and clinical rotations
• Engage with agency staff to discuss and enhance clinical experiences
• Evaluate and monitor students progress, providing feedback and support
• Perform additional related duties as needed in collaboration with the Nurse Aide Teacher

Required Qualifications:

• Current New York State RN license, in good standing
• Eligibility for or possession of the Civil Service School Nurse title
• Demonstrated recent experience in long-term care or nursing home settings
• Ability to confidently guide and mentor high school students exploring the Certified Nurse Assisting career pathway
