Registered Nurse School Setting - Plainfield, NJ

Step into a meaningful contract role supporting a medically fragile student as a 1:1 RN in a welcoming school environment near Plainfield, NJ. This in-person position provides essential care and offers a fulfilling opportunity to make a direct impact during a current nurses vacation coverage.

Beginning October 1st and running through October 10th, 2026, you will play a vital part in the daily well-being of a student, including assisting with g-tube needs and accompanying them on the school bus. The schedule runs Monday through Friday, typically from 8:00-8:15 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey RN license required
• Previous experience in school settings is highly desirable
• Proficient in caring for medically fragile students, particularly with g-tube care
• Comfortable providing dedicated 1:1 support
• Ability to ride the bus with the student for safe transport
• Must be available in person (remote work is not available for this assignment)

Primary Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive, individualized nursing care for a medically fragile student throughout the school day
• Safely manage g-tube feeding and monitoring
• Support the student during transportation to and from school, ensuring medical needs are met en route
• Collaborate with school staff and families to promote health, safety, and well-being
• Maintain detailed, accurate documentation
