School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Round Lake, Illinois

In this contract position, you'll provide direct care to students, collaborate with school staff, and manage various health situations with quick thinking and a clear course of action. With a focus on Lakeview Elementary, you'll help ensure a safe and responsive environment, addressing emerging health needs efficiently and compassionately.

Desired Qualifications:

• Active RN license in Illinois
• Prior experience as a school nurse in an elementary setting
• Strong assessment and clinical skills, especially in fast-paced environments
• Ability to prioritize and respond to multiple high-priority situations simultaneously
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff, and families
• Confident decision-making and problem-solving abilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver professional nursing care to students, including routine care and urgent interventions
• Address health concerns as they arise and maintain thorough documentation
• Collaborate closely with educators, administrators, and families to support student wellness
• Promote health education and preventative care within the school community
• Respond swiftly and effectively during health emergencies
