Location: South Amboy, NJ
Schedule: Part-Time | Monday–Thursday | Approximately 20–25 hours per week
Contract Dates: July 8, 2025 – August 15, 2025 (Extended School Year)
Caseload: To be discussed during the interview

Blazer Jobs is seeking a certified Registered Nurse for a part-time, school-based role in South Amboy, NJ during the Extended School Year (ESY). This position is ideal for a compassionate healthcare provider dedicated to supporting the medical and functional needs of students during summer programming.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing care, including first aid and emergency response, tailored to student health needs

• Collaborate with school staff to support students with chronic medical conditions and implement Individualized Healthcare Plans (IHPs)

• Maintain open communication with families and team members regarding student health status and updates

• Monitor and administer prescribed medications per physician and parental instructions

• Participate in meetings related to student care, safety planning, and support services as needed

Requirements:

• Valid New Jersey Registered Nurse (RN) license

• School Nurse Certification (preferred, but not required for ESY roles)

• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred

• Knowledge of common medical conditions in school-age children and emergency response protocols

• Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain accurate documentation
