Position Overview

As a School Nurse – LPN, you'll be an essential part of the student support team, delivering healthcare services that help students stay safe, healthy, and ready to learn.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide first aid and respond to medical concerns during the school day

• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders

• Support students with chronic conditions (asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, etc.)

• Maintain student health records and ensure compliance with state health regulations

• Develop and manage individualized health plans (IHPs)

• Educate students and staff on health, hygiene, and safety practices

• Assist in emergency response planning and preparedness

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid LPN license in the state of Florida

• Associate Degree in Nursing or equivalent education

• Current CPR and BLS certifications

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work independently and in a collaborative school environment

Preferred:

• Experience in pediatric, school, or community health nursing

• Familiarity with IEP and IHP documentation
