Certified School Nurse (CSN) - Full Time in Vallejo, CA

Position Overview:
The Certified School Nurse will work within a local school district to promote the health and wellness of students. This includes delivering healthcare services, managing chronic conditions, supporting student IEPs, and ensuring compliance with state and district health regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct nursing services and health education to students and staff

• Conduct health screenings, manage immunization records, and maintain student health files

• Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and 504 Plans

• Act as a liaison between the school, families, and healthcare providers

• Respond to medical emergencies and provide crisis care as needed

• Promote a healthy school environment through disease prevention and health promotion strategies

Qualifications:

• Active California Registered Nurse (RN) License

• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential required

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher preferred

• Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred

• CPR certification

• Strong communication and organizational skills
